Barback
Job Type: Part-Time

Description:
The barback assists the bartenders to ensure they have everything needed to serve customers efficiently. Barbacks are the supportive role to the bar staff. They need to anticipate the bartender’s needs, while stocking the bar and keeping and maintaining a clean pub.
Responsibilities:
- Keep bar fully stocked with liquor, speed bottles, glasses, napkins, and any other necessary items before and during operational hours
- Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs, and restock supplies
- Keep pub neat & clean
- Check bathrooms to ensure cleanliness and restock as needed
- End of the shift clean-up of bar with all staff
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, cleaning storage areas including coolers, and emptying trash cans
- Bussing tables and counters
- If a tap or appliance is not working, reporting it to a manager immediately for attention
- Changing out kegs and rotating stock when re-stocking using the FIFO method (first in, first out)
- Assisting bartenders during peak time to ensure highest level of customer service is maintained

Bartender

Description:
The bartender plays a key role in our guest’s bar experience. Consistency is a key element in a positive experience, which is achieved by always following pub recipes. A bartender must be friendly, outgoing, and possess effective communication skills. A bartender should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Bartenders should be professional, high-energy with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. Bartenders should upsell items, create recipes with the Assistant Management team, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle cleaning duties at the close of the pub.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome each guest personally within 1 minute
- Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the pub following standard pub recipes.
- Ring drink orders into POS immediately, collect money/credit card from guests for drinks served and make change.
- Create tabs if guests asks, collect money from guest once guest’s visit is done
- Wash all barware
- Be attentive! Offer assistance before the guest must ask for it
- Anticipate your guest’s needs. Follow the half-full rule when offering another drink. Be alert of guests’ signals, and acknowledge the guest to let them know the bartender will be right with them.
- Serve alcohol responsibly.
- Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
- Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons.
- Maintaining a clean pub by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- Perform other duties as directed.

Description:
Security personnel provide protection and surveillance to Doggie’s Pub, the pub’s assets and employees, and the customers that walk through its doors. You would watch specific areas, provide protection when needed, and maintain incident reports.
Responsibilities:
- Protect Doggie’s Pub property, staff, and the environment by keeping the location and surroundings secure
- Remove individuals who violate the rules
- Report any suspicious incidents to management in detail
- Conduct regular walks throughout the pub
- Able to resolve conflicts and disputes in a safe manner
- Assist with closing duties
Skills & Qualifications
- Great interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with customers and other visitors on premise

Pizza Maker

Description:
Doggie’s Pub is looking for Pizza Maker to prepare pizza and menu items in a fast-paced pizza shop. Pizza Maker’s will help with keeping the kitchen running smoothly by helping both the Shift Leads and Kitchen Supervisor with execution of initiatives tasked to them.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen
- Preparing food, including cleaning and cutting the ingredients
- Cooking food to Doggie’s standards
- Plating prepared food
- Working with app – WaistListMe to ensure orders are completed and delivered to guests on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and utensils
- Storing equipment properly at the end of each shift
- Ensuring that kitchen checklists (open, mid-day, and closing) are completed
- Assigned various roles during shift; expeditor, cashier, pizza start or finisher, and/or dishwasher
- Additional responsibilities as requested
